The process of creation requires an attentive, composed mind above all else. We must observe the flows of the mind, its atmospheric conditions, and its changes in tenperature- all from a detached feeling of otherness. One cannot will creativity into existence. It comes dancing to us on a spring breeze, a delightful nap, or some moving piece of music. Perhaps it comes for a weekend trip or only makes itself known in the early hours of the morning. Whatever the case, one must be watchful for this spirit, to meet it with a willing heart and mind. One must create a space in our lives to be a vessel for this presence.
